I’ve been experimenting with textures in my embroidery, and custom applique embroidery really caught my eye. Instead of stitching directly onto fabric, applique adds layers of material that make color and shape stand out so much better than flat stitch alone. I just tried an applique digitizing service for a jacket patch and the edges look crisp, and the design stays vibrant wash after wash. Have any of you used custom applique embroidery to make your work more striking? I’d love hear how it changed your results.
