Suggestions & Feedback: “Live Collaboration” Feature in TryBrass

Hi everyone,

I’m new to TryBrass, and I love how the platform is evolving. Today I want to send out some suggestions & get feedback from the community on the Live Collaboration feature that I think would be really useful—if it were integrated in this way:

Feature Suggestions

Split-screen audio editing/separate categories
When multiple people are working together, it’s better to have a common “workspace” for each project, where each person can edit tracks, plugins, and mixes, than to share files individually.

See other people’s activities in real time
That means when my friends edit plugins or effects, I can see signs of what they’re doing—to avoid editing over each other or know when to stop so as not to cause conflicts.

Permission options
For example, who has the right to change the mix, who only adjusts the melody, and who only adjusts the effects, to make the project clearly divided, reducing confusion when many people are involved?

Version history & rollback
It is very useful to be able to go back to a previous version if someone in the group edits something that doesn’t sound right—like version control in code.

💬 Questions & Wishes from the community

Do you think Live Collaboration in TryBrass should be prioritized for small (1-2 people) or large (multiple people) projects?

Has anyone used a similar feature on another platform (e.g., Soundtrap, BandLab…)? If so, what do you find best & what do you find inconvenient?

In your opinion, how important is latency/slowness when working together? I want to know if you can tolerate a little latency in exchange for convenient collaboration.

I’d love to hear what you think—maybe from a little sharing, this feature can be implemented better, making TryBrass even stronger.
