I tried about five different sites

There are tons of services out there now, but most of them output some weird distorted mess where fingers merge or the skin looks like shiny plastic. I tried about five different sites until I found a decent option that actually respects the lighting and doesn't always blur out tattoos. That site tool I've been using lately is honestly miles ahead of the old scripts because the engine doesn't just slap on a texture; it actually reconstructs the image based on perspective. I processed a high-res photo there, and if you don't squint at the tiny background details, you can't even tell it's a manipulation.
