My decision to start learning French
I began watching a lot of French films during the pandemic and realized how beautiful the language sounded when people spoke naturally. Subtitles helped of course, but I kept wondering what it would be like to understand the dialogue without constantly reading translations. At first I tried learning through random YouTube lessons and vocabulary lists, but everything felt disconnected. One video would explain grammar, another would teach phrases, and it didn’t feel like a clear path. Eventually I decided to try a more organized online course. The one I currently use is where you can study language here and it turned out to be surprisingly practical. The lessons are arranged around everyday situations instead of just grammar theory. For example, you practice greetings, asking simple questions, or having short conversations that might happen during travel or daily life. I also like that the exercises mix listening, speaking, and reading so the language feels more natural.
